This article examines linguo-technological principles for improving multimedia dictionary entries through a comparative study of English and Uzbek. The research addresses the limitations of traditional static dictionaries and explores how linguistic analysis can be integrated with modern technological capabilities to create dynamic, interactive, and contextually rich dictionary resources. The study focuses on the structural and functional differences between English and Uzbek, including morphology, phonology, vocabulary, phraseology, and orthographic features. A corpus-based and comparative approach is applied to identify linguistic patterns, collocations, idiomatic expressions, and semantic relationships relevant to multimedia dictionary design. Particular attention is given to the integration of audio pronunciation, visual materials, contextualized examples, interactive morphological parsing, transliteration, cultural notes, and cross-language alignment. The analysis demonstrates that multimedia components should be selected according to the specific linguistic characteristics of each language. Audio and phonetic information are especially useful for pronunciation and listening development, while morphological parsing and transliteration can facilitate the interpretation of Uzbek words and script variations. Contextual examples and cultural annotations further support accurate comprehension and intercultural communication. The study concludes that a linguo-technological approach can transform dictionaries from static reference resources into personalized and interactive learning environments. The proposed principles may also provide a practical framework for developing multimedia dictionaries for other language pairs.
