Abstract

This thesis investigates the role of antiangiogenic imbalance and endothelial dysfunction as molecular and morphological determinants of intranatal fetal death in preeclampsia. Dysregulated soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 and placental growth factor are identified as central mechanistic drivers linking placental ischemia to fatal intrapartum outcome.
